Is your organization doing its part in ensuring that U.S. veterans have an opportunity to become part of the TV sports and live entertainment production community? If not, the SVG Veterans in Production (VIP) program is here to help.

Today’s veterans return home with a wide variety of skills that can be useful within a media organization. They understand how to get the job done. They have what it takes to commit to a task and organization. And they definitely know how to work in high-pressure situations.

But many of them return home without a sense of how to take those skills and apply them to a real-world job.

That is why the Sports Video Group has launched an initiative that will help veterans of the American military more easily begin a career in sports broadcast and production. Known as SVG Veterans in Production (VIP), the group has already gained the support of NBA Entertainment, Major League Baseball, Fox Sports and HBO.

Here is how it works. If your organization is interested in learning more about hiring a military veteran our team at SVG can help guide you through the process.

-What veteran organizations are in your area and can help you fill a void?

-What can you expect in terms of hiring a veteran and making them feel comfortable in your organization?

-What kind of government incentives are available to you in return for hiring a veteran?

By reaching out to SVG we will work one-on-one with your HR department or others to make sure we help your organization do all it can with respect to creating job opportunities for veterans.
