EuroNews has selected Genesis
\nNetworks, a provider of next-generation global video transmission
\nservices, to
\nprovide fully managed distribution services for delivery of EuroNews to
\nNorth and South American marketplaces.
\nGenesis Networks
\nprovides a fully managed network backhaul and distribution solution,
\nincluding fiber connectivity, from the EuroNews master control facility
\nin Lyon, France, to the Genesis Networks uplink facilities in New York
\nand Atlanta. The signals are uplinked to the Genesis Networks cable
\ndistribution platforms on Galaxy 23 and Intelsat 9 for access by major
\ncable and DTH affiliates throughout North and South America. The
\nturnkey transmission solution includes delivery of seven audio signals
\nin English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Russian.
\nTo help EuroNews
\nlaunch the new service in Latin America, Genesis Networks procures and
\nadministers IRDs and authorization codes for each affiliate that joins
\nthe service. In addition, EuroNews has access to Genesis Networks’ IRIS
\nsoftware and ultralinks. These tools enable EuroNews to monitor the
\nquality of its transmissions across the globe from the company’s
\noperations center in Lyon.
