The Marlins may not have made it into the big game this year, but South Florida is still involved in the World Series. DHL said
\nit is delivering the World Series trophy and World Series MVP trophy.<\/p>\n

The Plantation-based express delivery and logistics company said it picked
\nup the 2006 World Series trophy, officially called the Commissioner’s Trophy,
\nand the World Series MVP trophy at Tiffany &Co. s flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City.<\/p>\n

An official escort helped move the trophies to the DHL facility at John F.
\nKennedy Airport.
\nThe trophies then traveled to DHL’s U.S.
\nground hub in Wilmington, Ill.,
\nand then on to St. Louis
\n– all under tight security.<\/p>\n

A DHL delivery vehicle, escorted by the St. Louis Police Department,
\ndelivered the trophies to Busch Stadium. DHL performed its duties as the official express delivery and logistics
\nprovider of Major League Baseball.<\/p>\n

Other duties under the title have led a convoy of DHL trucks to enter Chicago’s U.S. Cellular Field to deliver the 2005 World
\nSeries championship rings to the Chicago
\nwhite Sox.<\/p>\n

Additionally, DHL said it delivered more than 22 million 2006 Major League
\nBaseball All-Star Game ballots and nearly 1,000 ballot boxes to all 30 Major
\nLeague Baseball stadiums in the United States
