Grass Valley\u00a0was\u00a0presented with the Philo T. Farnsworth Award by the Television Academy at its 67th Engineering Emmy Awards in a ceremony held on October 28 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Grass Valley received the award in recognition of its contributions over time that have significantly impacted television technology and engineering.<\/p>\n

\"77686_GrassValley_Logo_2c_B\"The Board of Governors of the Television Academy singled out Grass Valley to receive this prestigious award, citing the company\u2019s five-decade history of providing the tools to create signal infrastructure as the television industry grew; its years of leadership in video routing, switching and manipulation; and its industry-changing, pioneering strides in digital-image processing and effects.<\/p>\n

The Philo T. Farnsworth Award originated in 2003 and has been presented only nine times previously. The award is named after Philo T.
