Champion Data Appoints Stuart Morgan as Head of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Champion Data is excited to announce the appointment of Stuart Morgan as Head of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Morgan is a global leader in the application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Sports High Performance. Most recently, he worked with the Australian Institute of Sport where he led Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Innovation for Australia’s Olympic programs.

Morgan is an Adjunct Professor at La Trobe University. He has delivered keynote addresses at major sports industry conferences globally and appeared on numerous podcast platforms, including One Track Mind, ASTN and CSIRO.

Morgan has authored and co-authored several publications, including “The Thin Edge of the Wedge: Accurately Predicting Shot Outcomes in Tennis using Style and Context Priors,” which earned him the best paper at the MIT Sloan Analytics Conference.

As Champion Data continues to expand its customer base and global footprint, Morgan will spearhead the company’s commitment and investment in the future by integrating the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance Champion Data’s business operations and client experiences.
