Super Bowl LIX: Telemundo Announces Programming for the Big Game

News, entertainment shows will lead up to the game’s largest Spanish-language distribution ever

Telemundo’s Super Bowl LIX programming will be spread across the broadcaster’s news and entertainment shows and platforms, including daytime shows, streaming channels, and social-media handles. It will culminate in the live Spanish-language broadcast of a historic Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Telemundo.

Telemundo will offer more than eight hours of live coverage from New Orleans on Super Bowl Sunday.

To capture all the action, Telemundo Deportes will deploy its top network news and entertainment talent and shows onsite in New Orleans, supported by in-studio coverage throughout the week leading up to the Big Game.

Spearheading the on-the-ground coverage will be the broadcaster’s NFL commentary team of Emmy Award–winning play-by-play announcer Miguel Gurwitz and former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman and Emmy-nominated color analyst Rolando Cantú. A team of reporters and journalists, including Julio Vaqueiro and Jessica Carrillo, will cover all the angles and storylines from key locations across New Orleans, including Caesars Superdome, the NFL Experience, and the French Quarter.

Leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, Telemundo’s programming will showcase a variety of football fans’ stories, the host city’s Super Bowl history, and the personal narratives of the Chiefs and Eagles teams and players. Beyond the game, the coverage delves into the rich tapestry of New Orleans, celebrated for its vibrant culture, mouthwatering cuisine, soulful music, and captivating ghost stories. Some of the content airing across the broadcaster’s shows during Super Bowl Week:

  • Noticias: Noticias Telemundo anchor Vaqueiro will discuss the news stories surrounding Super Bowl LIX. Senior Correspondent Rogelio Mora-Tagle will do in-depth reports highlighting the resilience and rebuilding of New Orleans on the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the extreme security surrounding the game.
  • Hoy Día: Prior to game day, Telemundo’s morning show will feature special segments to celebrate the Super Bowl, from Chef Rafa cooking segments inspired by game-day favorites to the halftime performances.
  • En Casa con Telemundo: The daytime entertainment show hosted by Carlos Adyan will feature content about celebrities and personalities traveling to New Orleans to participate in the event.
  • Zona Mixta: On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Telemundo’s late-night sports news and entertainment show will include special segments from the main set with Caesars Superdome as backdrop at 11:30 p.m. ET or after network news.

Super Bowl Sunday Coverage

Super Bowl Sunday will feature more than eight hours of coverage across platforms, delivering a comprehensive experience for fans:

  • Noticias Telemundo AHORA, 3 p.m. ET: Live coverage hosted by Vaqueiro. The free streaming channel is widely available across platforms, including Peacock, Roku, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus, and Fire TV.
  • Camino al Super Bowl, 4 p.m.: An extended two-hour pregame special on Telemundo will feature Gurwitz and Cantú alongside Vaqueiro, Carrillo, Frederick Oldenburg, and Verónica Rodríguez. The program will deliver analysis, debates, and highlights of the NFL’s commitment to Latino fans as well colorful stories and reports that go beyond the game.
  • Super Bowl LIX, 6 p.m.: On Telemundo, the live Spanish-language broadcast of Super Bowl LIX begins at 6 p.m., with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Gurwitz and Cantú, the leading Spanish-language NFL commentary duo, will analyze every interception, pass, and touchdown.
  • Homenaje al Campeón, 10 p.m.: On Telemundo, the programming concludes with Homenaje al Campeon showcasing postgame analysis, celebration of the winning team, and the awarding of the Lombardi Trophy in New Orleans.
Following the trophy presentation, Telemundo will air the first Sunday-night edition of the new season of La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars live coast-to-coast. Hosted by Javier Poza and Jimena Gállego, the episode will showcase the first time the iconic and controversial participants seek salvation and air out the first week’s controversies.
Super Bowl LIX is available to watch on Telemundo, FOX, FOX Deportes, and Tubi and across NFL digital properties with unauthenticated access across devices. FOX Deportes and Telemundo have partnered to air Super Bowl LIX in Spanish on both networks and provide the broadest Spanish-language distribution in the U.S. of any Super Bowl in history.
