CAMB.AI Brings Content Localization to APAC With New Japan Office, Partners with Dentsu for AI Translation of Japanese Content

CAMB.AI, a start-up building a global content localization infrastructure driven by AI-powered multilingual translation, has announced the opening of its new APAC office. Former DAZN Japan President Takashi Nakamura has been appointed as President APAC, leading the company’s expansion into the region from Tokyo. Under Nakamura’s leadership, CAMB.AI plans to actively build partnerships and expand real-world use cases within the APAC region, including a new landmark deal with Dentsu to support the overseas expansion of Japanese content.

The APAC expansion marks a key step in CAMB.AI’s mission to make sports, entertainment and other content accessible to all (i.e., not just English-speakers the Internet was initially built for), using its state-of-the-art content localization technology. This region was strategically chosen in particular due to the immense growth of Asian media and entertainment throughout the last decade. In fact, according to a study by Mordor Intelligence, this market is estimated at $1.34 trillion U.S. dollars in 2025 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.77% over the next five years.
With CAMB.AI’s speech-to-speech translation capabilities, available in more than 150 languages, content creators in Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and more can use immersive AI dubbing to expand beyond borders with their popular anime, manga, K-dramas, sinetron and more. Content can now be globalized at scale and in cost-effective ways, engaging new audiences while preserving the authenticity of its storytelling.
To lead this expansion, CAMB.AI has appointed a seasoned executive with deep roots in the Japanese media and sports ecosystem. Nakamura is well-known for his leadership at DAZN Japan, where he served as the sports channel’s president and managing director, and for his extensive network within the Japanese sports industry. He also has an expansive resume featuring leadership roles in Japan as well as the United States.

With the opening of the new Japan office, CAMB.AI has operations in the USA, Canada, APAC, Europe, the Middle East, and India.
CAMB.AI’s real-time voice translation technology preserves the speaker’s original tone and intonation while simultaneously translating into multiple languages and accents. The company initially focused on the technically-challenging realm of live sports broadcasting as its primary use case, in order to showcase its limitless capabilities. Dentsu Taps CAMB.AI for AI Translation Tech to Support Overseas Expansion of Japanese Content
In addition, Dentsu has also teamed up with CAMB.AI, starting with a Nippon Cultural Broadcasting (NCB) radio show. The show, which features Shinnosuke Tachibana talking about Japanese culture, is translated into English and Chinese, with plans to use its global network to distribute overseas content translated into Japanese.
With its own proprietary AI model, CAMB.AI possesses the technology to translate and dub video, audio and written content in real time into over 150 languages for a diverse range of industries, from entertainment to sports, education, audiobooks and games. What is more, with the CAMB.AI technology it is possible to make a dubbed voice sound like the original speaker, helping to keep content appealing and fresh in any language. CAMB.AI has built a diverse global track record, including live AI commentary for Major League Soccer in the U.S., AI dubbing of Arabic movies into Chinese, the Australian Open, multilingual development for Eurovision Sports, the European Union’s sports streaming organization, and translation of VOD content. Through this new partnership, Dentsu will combine its wealth of expertise and knowledge in the overseas expansion of domestic Japanese content with the real time AI translation technologies that are CAMB.AI’s strength, to bring Japanese original content to a wider range of new fans around the world.
The inaugural project for this new partnership is aired on NCB’s original streaming platform “QloveR”*, with an original radio program by popular voice actor Shinnosuke Tachibana titled SHINNOSUKE TACHIBANA – BOKU-NO-KOE-DE, KIMI-NO-KOTOBA-DE, streaming in the original Japanese, as well as AI-translated English and Chinese versions.
In the ten-minute radio program, Tachibana talks about Japanese culture, focusing on voice acting, anime and games. The show appeals to radio fans around the world by focusing on a different theme each week, such as the work of voice actors, the latest popular anime in Japan, and recommended tourist destinations including popular sites associated with anime. Using dentsu’s global network, there are also future plans to stream overseas content domestically in Japan in AI-translated Japanese.
Dentsu, working in partnership with CAMB.AI, will stream diverse Japan-original content around the world, and in so doing contribute to content development and the growth of content holders.
