Versant’s USA Sports Inks Five-Year Rights Deal With New Pac-12 Conference

Pac-12 Enterprises will produce all USA Network games in partnership with USA Sports

Versant’s USA Sports and the Pac-12 Conference have agreed to a five-year partnership beginning in 2026-27, featuring regular season action for football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball, plus the league’s men’s basketball tournament live on USA Network. Pac-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce all 80-plus football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games on USA Network in partnership with USA Sports.

As part of the long-term partnership which runs through the 2030-31 season, USA Network will annually present more than 80 games for the new Pac-12, including 22 regular season football games, 50 regular season men’s basketball games (as well as tournament rounds leading up to the championship game), and 5-10 regular season women’s basketball games.

“USA Sports is proud to partner with the new Pac-12 and showcase the league to a national audience on USA Network,” says Matt Hong, President of USA Sports. “Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall.”

“The new Pac-12 is where tradition meets transformation — a unique opportunity in the rapidly-evolving college sports landscape that strongly aligns with the go-forward vision of USA Sports,” says Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould. “We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special.”

This marks USA Sports’ first media rights partnership since being announced as the new brand and division name for Versant’s sports portfolio across USA Network and Golf Channel earlier this week.

Since August, USA Sports and Versant have announced new media rights agreements with the WNBA, the United States Golf Association (USGA), and League One Volleyball (LOVB). The Pac-12 joins USA Network’s current college sports programming highlighted by A-10 men’s and women’s basketball.

The new Pac-12 will officially launch beginning with the 2026-27 season and will feature Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State. Oregon State and Washington State are currently operating as members of the Pac-12 Conference as part of a NCAA two-year grace period and will continue to do so for the 2025-26 academic season prior to new members officially joining beginning with the 2026-27 season.

With the announcement, Pac12 football will see its regular season home games broadcast across CBS, The CW, CBS Sports Network and USA Network as well as the Pac12 Football Championship Game on CBS. In addition, the new Pac12 will see the majority of its regular season home men’s basketball games broadcast across CBS, The CW, CBS Sports Network and USA Network, with the tournament games airing on USA Network up to the championship game on CBS.

Pac12 Enterprises production – The league’s broadcast production company, Pac12 Enterprises, will produce 150+ broadcasts for the new Pac12’s media partners across football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball as part of its long-term partnerships.

Now with three long-term media partners in CBS Sports, The CW and USA Sports, the new Pac12 will see several notable highlights as part of its partnerships, including:
  • Football’s maximum reach & national exposure – The new Pac12 will see the entirety of its football slate, its home game broadcasts, available either to 100% of U.S. television households via national over-the-air broadcast networks (CBS & The CW) or via cable, satellite or over-the-top streaming on national cable networks (CBS Sports Network & USA Network).
  • Men’s Basketball – Similarly for men’s basketball the league will see the overwhelming majority (over 70 percent) of its regular season home games broadcast across the same networks (CBS, The CW, CBS Sports Network and USA Network). In addition, the league’s men’s basketball tournament will be featured on USA Network leading up to the championship game on CBS.
  • Women’s Basketball – The new Pac12 will see women’s basketball featured across The CW (15 regular season games) and USA Network (5-10 regular season games) as well as its semifinals and championship game of the league’s tournament on The CW.
