YouTube’s New Slate of Creator-Fueled Programming Includes ‘America vs London 1v1’ From Deestroying
Story Highlights
YouTube announced new programming exclusively coming to the platform from top during the first-ever ‘Creator Premieres’ showcase at the Metrograph in New York City.

Hosted by Julian Shapiro-Barnum of Recess Therapy (1.3M subscribers), the event featured new programming announcements and sneak peeks of upcoming specials, documentaries and episodes from on-stage presenters – including sport-centric offerings like Deestroying’s (6.4M subscribers) “America vs London 1v1”.
Google President, Sean Downey also took to the stage to demonstrate why YouTube has remained the #1 streamer for over two years (according to Nielsen). This ‘film festival’ style experience provided a room full of advertisers and industry leaders a front-row seat to the latest programming from top YouTube creators including Cleo Abram, Mark Vins, Trevor Noah and more.
“YouTube creators are building global communities through content that is authentic, engaging, and premium,” said Downey. “They’re not only driving culture – they’ve created an irreversible change in entertainment, which has redefined viewing behavior. For advertisers, YouTube presents a unique opportunity to make an impact with their desired audiences, by aligning and deeply integrating their brands with the voices that they actively seek out.”
On the sports programming front, Deestroying “Dee” is taking his viral football 1on1’s series across the pond to London, where he gathers the top athletes across the country to compete for $5,000 in a new episode, “America vs London 1v1.” But it won’t be that easy for the London athletes as Dee has a secret opponent… all the way from the streets of Detroit – a competitor that’s hungry and ready to put his football reputation on the line. “America vs London 1v1” premieres November 30 on the official Deestroying YouTube channel.
“There is an insatiable demand from both viewers and brands for the creator-led, discoverable programming that is shaping culture,” says Tara Walpert Levy, YouTube VP of Americas. “These next-generation studios, where YouTube creators drive every aspect of production – vision, execution, on-air performance, fan connection – are what is driving must-see entertainment today.”
Additional programming includes a new live late night weekly series set in public parks and on street corners. Premiering in spring 2026, “Outside Tonight” with Julian Shapiro-Barnum (known for his popular online shows “Recess Therapy” and “Celebrity Substitute”) revitalizes a classic format with weekly, live shows packed with celebrity interviews, audience-driven games, live music, and comedy.
New content was also announced from YouTube Creators like Cleo Abram (6.9M subscribers), Mark Vins of Brave Wilderness (21.8M subscribers), and Trevor Noah (4.3M subscribers), as well as exclusive content announcements and showcases from Brittany Broski of Royal Court (4.5M combined subscribers), Dhar Mann (26.3M subscribers), and Ms. Rachel (17.6M subscribers).
