Calrec Pushes Beyond Traditional Broadcasting with Flexible IP Ecosystem at ISE 2026
Story Highlights
This year’s ISE 2026 theme “Push Beyond” reflects Calrec’s direction of travel. The company is dedicated to supporting the AV and broadcast industries rapid technology convergence, which signals a more collaborative and location-independent future for live production.

Focused on giving broadcasters and AV professionals access to more dynamic workflows to deliver the ultimate in flexibility, Calrec’s expanded IP ecosystem centers around True Control 2.0, allowing users to embrace distributed production, minimize costs, and scale resources on the fly.
Calrec’s Spanish distribution partner Coel Audio Solutions will be present on the stand throughout the show.
Calrec’s presentation on Stand: 4N670 will showcase a live ecosystem that integrates Argo consoles networked with an ImPulse1 IP processing core, and ImPulseV virtualized audio mixing engine. With the company’s True Control 2.0 delivering seamless connectivity, Calrec is demonstrating how broadcasters, sports organizations, houses of worship, education establishments, and others can streamline workflows, boost creativity, reduce costs, and adapt to today’s dynamic media landscape.
True Control 2.0 – Empowering every production
Transforming workflows to enable fully remote and distributed production, True Control 2.0 allows users to control any Calrec system from any location, giving access to more cores, faders, surfaces, and control to meet any production requirement.
True Control 2.0 delivers full feature-set control parameters over EQ, dynamics, routing, direct outputs, and delay. Broadcasters and AV professionals can scale production ecosystems quickly, supporting distributed workflows with a deep level of remote control. A single controller can manage up to five other consoles or processing cores simultaneously, expanding functionality without extra hardware investment.
ImPulseV – Powering the future of virtual audio
A virtualized DSP core in a cloud-native AWS environment, Calrec’s ImPulseV virtualized audio mixing engine is accessible globally. ImPulseV uses the same familiar Calrec user interface and can be controlled via the company’s Assist web UI or directly from any Argo or True Control 2.0 enabled console.
Delivering the full Calrec broadcast feature set directly in the cloud with premium audio quality, it reduces reliance on physical hardware. Optimized for low latency throughput, real-time audio processing, control routing, and mixing, ImPulseV allows resources to be flexed for major events. Its cost-effective OpEx model also opens opportunities for smaller productions that may have been previously financially challenging.
Argo S – Redefining flexibility in live audio production
Calrec is also demonstrating its 36-fader Argo S console at the show, which is sporting a new software update. Built for demanding broadcast environments, Argo S is a modular, IP-native audio console. With enough customizable hands-on real estate to deliver control over every parameter of the audio mix, Argo S is designed to adapt to broadcaster needs without compromising control or resilience.
Calrec’s new v1.4 Argo software introduces enhanced routing strip functionality. It also enables Argo Q to support two sets of custom wild panels per section. A new Tiles feature allows fully customisable up-stand meter layouts with thumbnails, and the mix minus workflow has been streamlined. It also adds the ability to select a different output when fader closed to when it’s open and allows users to “interrogate” the console to access routing information of buses being used for a path’s main output.
Additional updates include DAW control of MIDI on the Argo platform, improved NMOS control, enhanced status updates and monitoring, and seamless integration with Calrec Connect.
Argo M – Built for today’s dynamic production landscape
Calrec is showcasing its 24-fader Argo M console, which will be controlled by True Control 2.0. Argo M delivers all the power, familiarity, and reliability of Calrec’s flagship Argo platform in a streamlined 24, 36, and new 48-fader footprint. Compact yet uncompromising, it maximizes desk space with full-sized fader strips and intuitive controls built for the most demanding productions. With plug-and-play ST2110 and cloud connectivity, Argo M gives immediate high-performance control, so broadcasters can focus on what matters most — creating outstanding content at scale.
With up to 356 channels of internal DSP, Argo M features built-in analogue and digital audio I/O and GPIO, 3 x modular I/O expansion slots, and a MADI I/O port via SFP. The ability to connect to an ST2110 networked environment and to an existing Calrec ImPulse core alongside other Argo surfaces means it can quickly create multi-console IP environments, while connectivity to ImPulse, ImPulse1 and ImPulseV means additional external DSP paths can be easily added as production demands change.
