Atlanta United Lights Up New Emory Healthcare Studio With First Live Broadcast for World Cup Draw

The 30-minute show of reactions to the draw will be the club’s largest production to date

Throughout the process of building and opening its new state-of-the-art Emory Health Care production studio, Atlanta United focused on one date: Dec. 5. The production team’s goal was to officially launch the new facility at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground in Marietta, GA, with a show for today’s FIFA World Cup Draw.

“We knew we needed time to learn all our new tools and systems, but we wanted to do a show before we go full steam ahead in 2026,” says Matt Moore, director, broadcast and video production, Atlanta United. “Our training was excellent, and we have already done smaller-scale productions prior to this one. This one, however, will be our first live production and is tied to the world’s largest sporting event. It would

have been possible for us to host and produce a show of this magnitude prior to opening the new studio.”

The 30-minute show will be the largest studio production that Atlanta United has undertaken to date. Focused on reaction to today’s much anticipated draw, the show will feature commentary by current and former members of Men’s National Teams and reactions from a remote watch party in Atlanta.

Ravi Mody, studio manager, Emory Healthcare Studio, has been overseeing the project, and a full crew will be on hand in the control room: producer, director, technical director, graphics, audio, camera shading, camera operators, field producer. Moore was able to enlist many of the same crew members who work on game days for Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Atlanta United plays its home games.

“[Mody] has done tremendous work,” says Moore. “I am excited for him to take this project to the finish line. We had a great rehearsal Dec. 4 and will be ready to go when the draw is complete and we can react to the results.”

The new production space, with system integration by Alpha, significantly expands the club’s existing footprint. With three rooms for live shoots on its digital platforms, still photography, and podcasting, Emory Healthcare Studio offer a treasure trove of possibilities to further engage the club’s fanbase.

“We feel that the Emory Healthcare Studio will take our content to new and innovative levels,” says Moore. “Being able to do live content in this type of studio, we will be able to deliver new and exciting content to our fanbase.”

That elevation in quality has already been seen in Atlanta United’s off-pitch content, via pieces produced for franchise icon Brad Guzan’s retirement and the announcement of Tata Martino’s return as head coach. According to Moore, the team will also be able to move its partnership content inside this studio space and looks to expand other programming when opportunities present themselves.
