Story Highlights
Game+, a subsidiary of global multi-platform media company Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc., announces a continuation of its partnership with the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL) — reaching a multi-year extension agreement to remain as the official broadcasting partner of Canada’s premier professional pickleball league.
Game+’s coverage returns with the start of the CNPL’s fourth season in May, presenting live broadcasts of Court 1 at each event. Both court 1 and 2 will also be streamed on the official Game+ YouTube Channel. The upcoming season consists of a total of seven two-day regular season events divided into four team regional splits and eight team majors. With the Season Opener (major) and Western Split in May, the Eastern Split and Midseason Major in June, Metropolitan Split in July, and the Central Split and Season Finale (major) in August, culminating in a special three-day playoff with a new series format at the end of September.
Teams’ face-off head-to-head for prize money and pride, with each event putting the spotlight on Canada’s top pickleball pros as they compete in a women’s doubles game, an open doubles game, and two mixed doubles games.
Since its founding in 2023, the CNPL has established itself as a major player in the world’s fastest-growing sport. With pickleball growing in notoriety and facing potential inclusion in the Olympic games, the CNPL is committed to turning Canada into a global leader in this ever-competitive landscape — providing the nation’s best players with a platform where they can hone their skills and test their might in rigorous league play, while preparing them to one day bring home the gold on the world’s ultimate sporting stage.
“Game+’s coverage of the CNPL’s exciting third season was a tremendous hit with our audience—captivating sports fans across Canada with its world-class talent and exciting pickleball action,” says Chad Midgley, VP of Content for Anthem Sports Group. “We are proud to announce this major deal with the CNPL, cementing Game+’s place as the organization’s official broadcasting partner for many years to come. The League has an exciting future ahead, and we look forward to watching them build upon their success as we present exclusive live broadcasts of every match, all season long.”
“This multi-year extension with Game+ marks an exciting new chapter for the CNPL,” says Mike McAninch, Commissioner of the Canadian National Pickleball League. “As we head into Season 4, Game+’s live broadcasts, weekly re-broadcasts of key matchups, and comprehensive YouTube coverage, featuring all matches from both courts, ensures our athletes receive the exposure they’ve earned and our fans can follow the action however they choose. This partnership amplifies the reach of Canada’s premier professional pickleball league, connecting our world-class players with audiences across the country and giving the sport the platform, it deserves to continue its remarkable growth.”
