Binghamton Athletics Unveils 18-Game Broadcast Partnership with MSG Networks

Binghamton University’s Division of Athletics has joined forces with longstanding New York area sports broadcast giant MSG Networks to telecast select home games during the spring semester.

The partnership with the nation’s original regional sports network allows Binghamton to reach its alumni base in New York City, the country’s No. 1 media market.

The schedule features 18 games spanning the sports of women’s basketball and men’s and women’s lacrosse and will provide Binghamton Athletics exposure from late January through April. The games will be telecast on one of the two sports and entertainment networks, MSG Network (MSG) and MSG Sportsnet (MSGSN), beginning with a Bearcats women’s basketball tilt against the New Hampshire Wildcats on Jan. 22.

“We are extremely excited to announce a partnership with MSG Networks,” says Senior Associate Director of Athletics Pat Murphy. “Along with our partnership with SNY, this allows us to increase our footprint and the Binghamton University brand all across New York State and the tri-state area where a large pocket of our alumni and students reside. This will also aid our coaches to attract premier student-athletes to excel both academically and athletically at Binghamton University. We have a great story to tell here at Binghamton University and this partnership further enables us to do that.”

The schedule is highlighted by a full afternoon of coverage on Sat., Feb. 21. On that doubleheader day, MSGSN will show Binghamton men’s lacrosse vs. Marist at noon, followed by the Bearcats’ women’s basketball conference game against UMass Lowell at 2 p.m.

MSG Networks’s wide range of content includes exclusive live coverage of the NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Buffalo Sabres as well as non-game coverage of the NFL’s New York Giants and Buffalo Bills.

For more than 50 years, MSG Networks has been a pioneer in regional sports television, beginning with its debut as the first regional sports network in 1969.

“MSG Networks is excited to broadcast a variety of Binghamton University men’s and women’s sports in 2026,” says Armando Polanco, Vice President, Content Distribution, MSG Networks. “Adding Binghamton University sports to our existing slate of sports programming of New York state colleges — live Hofstra University games and St. John’s University shows — is a win for New York area fans.”
