iodyne Expands Pro Data Line with New 96TB and 192TB Portable RAID Configurations
Story Highlights
iodyne announces the availability of new 96TB and 192TB capacity options for Pro Data, its portable Thunderbolt RAID designed for professional media production, data transport, and post-production workflows.
The expanded configurations provide higher storage density while maintaining the same compact, backpack-ready form factor, sustained performance, and security features that define the iodyne products.
With the new configurations, Pro Data offers 80TB usable capacity at 96TB and 160TB usable capacity at 192TB when configured with RAID-6 protection, balancing capacity with fault tolerance for mission-critical workflows. For use cases that prioritize maximum capacity, both systems can also be configured in RAID-0, delivering full raw capacity.
Importantly, the increase in capacity does not change the device’s physical footprint or performance characteristics. Pro Data retains its portable enclosure, travel-friendly weight, and consistent sustained throughput, delivering predictable TruePut for unique and challenging workflows.
“Production teams are capturing more data in more places than ever before,” says Robert Stacy, VP of Global Sales at iodyne. “These new Pro Data configurations are designed for teams that need to carry large volumes of data, often through unpredictable conditions and uncharted territories.”
Designed for Field, Studio, and Transit
The new high-capacity Pro Data systems address a wide range of professional use cases:
- Field and remote production, where crews may be traveling for extended periods and require a compact system that fits in carry-on luggage, moves easily through customs, and can be powered by portable or XLR-based power sources.
- Documentary and large-scale YouTube production, where changing conditions often result in unplanned increases in footage volume.
- Physical data transport, for organizations moving hundreds of terabytes between locations when cloud transfer is impractical due to time, bandwidth, or cost constraints.
- Live event and ISO capture, enabling longer recording times and higher camera counts directly to a single portable volume.
- Post-production, VFX, and color workflows, where teams require high-capacity, high-performance storage for no-proxy editing, rendering, and multi-project environments.
Pro Data is commonly deployed as an ingest drive, a secure, encrypted shuttle drive, a primary post-production volume, or as a performance companion to stationary NAS systems.
Availability Through a Global Reseller Network
The 96TB and 192TB Pro Data configurations are available through iodyne’s global network of authorized resellers, supporting customers across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other regions. Local purchasing, rental options, and regional support are available through these partners. Customers who do not see a reseller in their area are encouraged to contact iodyne directly for assistance.
