CES 2017: The Switch To Offer Live Feed Points From Convention Floor

The Consumer Technology Association, in partnership with The Switch, will be providing live camera positions/feed points from the convention floor of the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 5-8, 2017.  These live positions will be connected directly to the Las Vegas Switch, allowing customers to book live or taped transmissions from the show floor, with only the cost of ICOD services.

The-Switch_Logo_FinalThere is no cost for the use of the Live Camera Positions/Feed Points, or the connections to the Las Vegas Switch. There will be several camera positions on the Show Floor – in all three Halls – exact positions to be determined.

Space and connectivity are offered on a first come, first served basis. Further, organizations will need to provide all necessary production equipment and personnel to support their live or tape footage from these positions. CES and The Switch are providing the HD/SDI connectivity only. Participation by all broadcast and news organizations is subject to approval and issuance of registered press credentials by CES.

Interested parties should first contact Joel Hartway, Director of CES Broadcast Tech Services ([email protected]) to schedule time at one of the live positions. Once confirmed with Joel, Customers should then contact Switch Bookings to schedule their ICOD, using the Switch input connection assigned by CES:  LVCC-1 or LVCC-3 Las Vegas.
