Ascent Media taps Bisignano as SVP/GM Systems Integration

Rich Bisignano has joined Ascent Media Systems & Technology Services as Senior Vice President/General Manager, Systems Integration, succeeding Chris Summey, who recently took on a newly created senior level position in the company. He will report to Tom Canavan, Executive Vice President, Systems & Technology Services, of Ascent Media Network Services.

Bisignano is responsible for the P&L and day-day management of the renowned US-based systems integration business, with locations in the New Jersey, San Jose, CA and Washington, DC. He oversees a highly experienced, professional management team encompassing project management, technology assessment, design engineering, and implementation functions for broadcast, telecom, cable, government and broadband clients.

Bisignano has an extensive background in the systems integration business. In 1981, he founded East Coast Video Systems (ECVS) in New Jersey, which was acquired in 1997 by systems integration firm Azcar Technologies, Inc.. Bisignano became President and COO, and eventually CEO of Azcar s overall business in Canada and the United States.

Since leaving Azcar in 2001, Bisignano operated a successful consulting company, specializing in owner s representative and program management services. He is also a certified executive coach and trained facilitator.
