TSN sinks deal with ESPN
In an effort to provide one-stop shopping to its clients, TSN announced today a new agreement with ESPN.com that enables Canadian advertisers to purchase Internet exposure in Canada on ESPN.com from TSN. All Canadian ads purchased on ESPN.com ere geo-locked to Canada only, ensuring clients’ messages are delivered to Canadians.
The deal gives TSN the opportunity to sell rich media inventory on ESPN.com, including leader boards, skyscrapers and flash ads.
“Including ESPN.com as part of the TSN family provides our clients with a unique opportunity to grow and extend their brands,” said Phil King, President, TSN. “ESPN.com is another vehicle in which Canadian advertisers can now reach the passionate sports fan.”
By purchasing ads on both TSN.ca and ESPN.com simultaneously, Canadian advertisers can target a larger market and get their messages across more effectively.
TSN.ca remains the No. 1 sports website in Canada with an average of 2.3 million unique monthly visitors, while ESPN.com garners another 1.3 million unique visitors each month north of the border.
