Arena Football League Expands ArenaBowl Live Coverage Using NewTek TriCaster

NewTek,
Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, announced the Arena Football League selected NewTek’s TriCaster to assist in
the production of eight live webcasts of ArenaBowl XXI New Orleans Weekend
events. TriCaster’s portable, live production broadcast capabilities help make
it possible for fans the world over to experience these events in

New Orleans via arenafootball.com:
including: Media Day, AFL Radio’s coverage of ArenaBowl XXI, the ADT ArenaBall
Awards Gala, and pre- and post-game coverage starting July 27th through game
day on July 29th. A complete schedule of streamed events is attached.

“TriCaster
was designed for exactly this kind of challenge,” said Philip Nelson,
NewTek’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Development. “Doing eight
webcasts at five different venues in only three days is certainly ambitious,
but we’re excited that the portability, broadcast quality and ease of setup
with TriCaster makes it possible.”

broadcasters, schools and others to provide a whole new level of extended
programming and content to their fans, partners and other constituencies. Now,
a single operator can produce a live show switching between as many as six
cameras with two VCR’s, multi-channel effects, and NewTek’s proprietary virtual
sets and keying technology using TriCaster.

“We’re
excited to give our fans the complete experience of the activities surrounding
ArenaBowl XXI New Orleans Weekend.” said Marc Lowitz, President of the AFL
