RCN Turns Up the Action with NHL CENTER ICE

RCN
Corporation, a provider of video, data, and voice services to residential,
small business and commercial customers, announced that it has signed an
agreement with iNDemand Networks and has begun carrying NHL CENTER ICE games on
its digital cable network.

NHL Center
Ice brings RCN subscribers up to 1,000 out-of-market regular season National
Hockey League at a rate of up to 40 games weekly. The hockey games included in
NHL CENTER ICE are in addition to those available on Versus and NBC and
in-market networks (such as a regional sports networks and/or over-the-air
stations).

“The
addition of NHL CENTER ICE to our line up is another example of how RCN is
striving to provide the most options and program choices for our subscribers
and to fulfill the commitment of connecting customers to something more,” said
RCN President & CEO Peter Aquino. “Even if you live in one city and your
team is in another, this service lets you see the match-ups you want to watch.
It’s the equivalent of a programming hat trick for hockey fans and as the first
triple play (bundled cable TV, phone and Internet) service provider, we know a
thing or two about hat tricks.”

The
regular full season offer is available through Jan. 24, 2008 for $169 (or four
installments of $42.25). The price for the Half Season plan, which runs from
Jan. 25 – March 7, 2008, is $119.00 (or 4 installments of $29.75). The Race to
the Stanley Cup Playoffs is March 8 through the end of the season for $59. The
Half Season and The Race to the Stanley Cup packages will be available in early
2008.
