Chapman to head up Chyron Broadcast Group

Chyron Corporation has appointed Gary Chapman as Director, Broadcast Group Business. The company says Chapman will be an integral part of the team responsible for developing and fostering relationships with key managers of broadcast television station group owners in North America.

Most broadcast stations are owned by groups of various size and structure. This new position provides a senior channel of communication between management within Chyron and the key managers of a group to discuss today’s tactical challenges together with longer term strategic goals. The fruits of these relationships will allow Chyron to closely synchronize its product development with the future desires of these important customers while assuring they take full advantage of Chyron’s existing products and benefits.

“Efficient use of resources is the mantra of business today. By working closely with its customers, Chyron has developed solutions to increase operational efficiency by reducing costs while simultaneously raising the quality standard for effective graphic deliverables,” commented Chapman.

He added, “My goal is to closely match the company’s R&D spend for product development to the plans of the broadcast group owner. I am interested in working with broadcast group managers to explore new ways to reduce operational costs, define new revenue sources and improve the quality and effective use of their brand. Leveraging the station’s valuable brand, existing infrastructure and talent with digital media and mobile technology presents opportunities for separate and significant revenue.”

Chyron CEO Michael Wellesley-Wesley added, “I am delighted to welcome Gary in this key role created to further enhance Chyron’s communication between product managers and customers in the North American region. The Chyron name is synonymous with quality products and our aim is to continue satisfying the needs of the market.”
