AEG’s Sports and Entertainment Solutions To Be ‘Powered by Panasonic’

Panasonic has entered into a long-term agreement with AEG that names Panasonic a Founding Partner of L.A. Live, the AEG-owned and operated sports, entertainment, and residential district in Los Angeles, and of Staples Center beginning next August Technologies at these “Panasonic Powered Properties” will improve entertainment, education, safety, convenience, and the environment.

“This unique partnership will stimulate business and bolster consumer confidence,” says J.M. Allain, president of Panasonic’s System Solutions Company business unit. “We have committed to a comprehensive investment in resources and technology-driven solutions that transcend traditional expectations.”

“Panasonic’s solution fulfills our commitment to a world-class live-entertainment experience,” says AEG President/CEO Timothy J. Leiweke. “Panasonic delivers the best experience for our visitors with the broadest range of new technologies available from a single entity.”

“The Panasonic experience” is already in place at the Beijing Olympic Games, Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, New York City’s Times Square, Princess Cruises, and the recently announced Major League Soccer sports and community-development project in Philadelphia.

Planned solutions for AEG properties include the largest LED display in the world at L.A. Live, digital signage, video surveillance, security systems, television production, and point-of-sale systems.
