Vitec’s RF Systems Names Hoeler VP of Sales and Marketing

The Vitec Group’s RF Systems division, part of The Vitec Group, has appointed Donald Hoeler VP of sales and marketing. In his new position, he oversees and manages all sales and marketing activities within RF Systems, which comprises leading microwave-technology companies Nucomm, Microwave Service Co., and RF Central.

“We are proud to have Donald on our team,” says Stephen Shpock, president of The Vitec Group RF Systems. “His more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience is sure to enhance our sales force and the level of exceptional service that we provide our customers.”

Prior to joining the Vitec Group RF Systems division, Hoeler worked eight years with K&L Microwave, a $60 million microwave and RF-filter company located in Salisbury, MD, where he held the positions of general manager and VP of sales and marketing. Previously, he was director of the Telecommunications Business Area/Military Programs Office for six years at Boeing Electron Dynamics Division (now L-3 ETI) in Torrance, CA, a manufacturer of commercial and military microwave equipment.

“Joining RF Systems is a terrific opportunity,” says Hoeler. “The broadcast marketplace is an exciting side of the RF-microwave industry as there are many technological changes taking place everyday. I am pleased to have a role in that evolution and to be part of a company that will be leading such advancements.”

Hoeler adds, “When we look at the transition into high-definition and IP connectivity, RF Systems’ thrust is to be on the front end of supplying the product and services that are going to help our customers continue to grow in their respective markets.”

Hoeler has a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Georgia. He also holds certificates in advanced management and executive marketing from the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of California at Los Angles (UCLA), respectively.
