New Philadelphia MLS Complex To Be Powered By Panasonic

When a new
Major League Soccer stadium and waterfront complex opens in 2010 just south of Philadelphia, along the Delaware River in Chester, PA,
it will incorporate large screen displays and digital signage from Panasonic
System Solutions Company. The dominant use of Panasonic technologies throughout
the new complex will be reflected with stadium marks, logos, and branding on
the main scoreboard and LED signage.

In addition
to providing large screen displays and digital signage, Panasonic will be the
exclusive provider of broadcast and TV production systems, security/surveillance
systems, and point-of-sale systems.

As the
large screen/digital signage provider, Panasonic will supply LED large screen
boards that are built for flexibility, functionality, and performance. The LED
systems provide a wide angle of viewing and high image quality, even in direct
sunlight. The module format allows the system to keep running if one panel
needs to be replaced. Panasonic’s digital signage provides a user-friendly
means of delivering dynamic messages via plasmas, LCDs, and large-screen
boards.

Keystone
Sports and Entertainment, LLC, the Major League Soccer (MLS) Philadelphia 2010
ownership group, will count on Panasonic as the “Official Technology Partner”
to ensure fans get a world-class experience.

around the world and this new soccer complex will further expand the scope of
facilities “Powered by Panasonic.” An area within the new complex called “The
Panasonic Experience” will allow visitors to experience the company’s technology
innovations for home and business.

A
groundbreaking ceremony was held in Chester in December
for the 18,500 seat multi-purpose soccer and sports stadium that will be
constructed at the foot of the Commodore
Barry Bridge,
13 miles from downtown Philadelphia.
The stadium will feature an 11,000-square-foot club, 30 suites, a built-in concert
stage, and a special 2,000 seat zone for the Sons of Ben supporters club. The
new stadium is the centerpiece of a $500 million entertainment, retail,
residential, and commercial development covering more than 100 acres along the Delaware River waterfront.
