Orad Releases Advanced Version of ADVision

Orad has released
the next generation of ADVision, a turnkey virtual advertising system. The
patent-pending system opens new revenue streams from various sports
productions. ADVision can be adapted to any type of sport, including soccer,
basketball, American football, and extreme sports; operated from a studio or an
OB VAN; and used to support both HD and SD productions.

ADVision
substantially increases the amount and the visibility of an ad’s exposure.
Broadcasters now have the option of integrating dynamic and animated
advertisements, thanks to ADVision’s automatic frame recognition and ability to
play clips and animated ads, all from within a single box.

Using
Orad’s patent-pending image-analysis camera-tracking system, ADVision enables
real-time insertion of virtual ads on the playing field. Even full-motion video
clips can be laid over the field or stand out from the turf.

ADVision’s
automatic frame recognition allows the system to detect the first frame
automatically, providing an “on-cut” insertion, a much higher
exposure rate, and much faster operation. The image-analysis-based tracking
allows ADVision to operate both from a studio (downstream) or from an OB VAN
(upstream).

A new clip
playout tool has been integrated into the graphic engine, enabling ADVision to
render animations and clips in real time, in perspective to the camera’s angle.
The clips and animations can run in full HD resolution with alpha channel, and
with embedded audio mixing.

ADVision
provides control over the size, position, tilt angle, and more for both
animated clips and still textures. Each object can be defined as a linear or
chromakey, placing the graphics “beneath” the players.

With its
single 3U rack-mountable unit, which requires minimal setup time, no mechanical
installations, and only one operator, ADVision opens new opportunities for
rights owners, broadcasters, and event organizers.
