Blackhawks Up for CSN Chicago

The Chicago Blackhawks’ series-clinching victory Monday night in game six of its Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup with the Calgary Flames earned the highest Blackhawks rating ever for Comcast SportsNet Chicago, a 5.28 household rating.

The regional sports network averaged about 184,400 households for the entire game and scored a 6.94 peak rating during the 9:45 p.m. quarter-hour.

The final household average for all six games of the Blackhawks-Flames series was a 4.52 (3.41 for adults 25-54). Compared with the last time the Blackhawks were in the playoffs, in 2002—a total of four first-round game telecasts vs. the St. Louis Blues on Fox Sports Net, which earned a 1.93 household average—first-round ratings were up more than 134%.
