XOS Digital Adds Jim Pile to Integrated Solutions Group
XOS Digital has added broadcast expert Jim Pile to its Integrated Solutions Group personnel. Pile began at XOS last month.
“XOS Digital provides highly effective, cost-efficient design, implementation and support of video control rooms,” says Mark Hudgins, president, Integrated Solutions Group, XOS Digital. “Through our relationships with hundreds of professional and collegiate teams, we’ve had foresight into the current focus on digital broadcast production for quite some time. We’ve positioned ourselves well and recruited the expertise of leading broadcast professionals, such as Jim Pile, to take sports production to the next level for teams nationwide.”
As part of the XOS team, Pile will identify broadcast needs among the company’s sports partners, and will design technical and operational solutions to address them. He also will support technical relationships with XOS partners to ensure that their broadcast operations run smoothly. In addition, Pile is responsible for overseeing the implementation of control room integration projects, their associated quality control processes, onsite system launches and XOS partner training.
Pile has nearly 20 years of broadcast production experience. Prior to joining XOS, he served as the operations manager for ECS Productions in Napa, CA. He also has experience as the technical manager for Golf Channel in Orlando, FL, as a lead engineer for Southwest TV Productions in Tempe, AZ, and as the venue broadcast technical manager for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Pile is FCC licensed through the American Society for Engineering Education. He also holds an associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Herzing University in Madison, WI. Currently, Pile resides in Orlando, FL working from the XOS Digital office located in Lake Mary, FL.
