CBS Sports’ Masters Third-Round Coverage Earns Second-Highest Rating in Nine Years
CBS Sports’ coverage of the 2011 Masters golf tournament on Saturday April 9 scored an average overnight household rating/share of 6.8/16. This is the second-highest rating in nine years for Saturday’s coverage, behind last year’s 7.6/18, which was up 33% from 2009. Last year’s Masters was highlighted by Tiger Woods’s return to competitive golf.
This year’s third-round coverage was up 19% from 2009 and 11% from 2008. The rating peaked with a 7.3/17 in the 5:30-6:30 p.m. ET period.
