Adtec Digital Sees Increased Booth Attendance at NAB
Adtec Digital recently completed another successful show at NAB 2012, one that brought increased booth attendance and saw the debut of the EN-20 digital television solution and the EN-91P contribution encoder.
“Our numbers were impressive this year,” states Michele Niec, public relations coordinator for Adtec Digital. “We show an increase of 146% over NAB 2011 thanks to the hard work of both our sales and engineering teams. Most interesting is our international visits were up over 37% to last year. There was a wonderful consistent hum of activity in our booth that was recognized both by NAB 2012 attendees and exhibitors.”
Adtec debuted the EN-20 as a complement to the YUV2QAM and mediaHUB-HDPro distribution solutions. The EN20 is positioned to deliver two broadcast quality MPEG 2 HD or SD services with Dolby audio encode and passthrough support. Like all Adtec compression solutions, the EN20 supports all the VBI services required for real broadcast applications but does so at a professionally targeted price point. The dual channel capability, Dolby and VBI support will attract broadcast, MSO, private cable and professional users globally to the EN20. “We are providing broadcast quality to the professional markets,” said Kevin Ancelin, SVP of sales for Adtec.
The EN-91P is a 1080P AVC 3D/HD/SD encoder that offers Fiber SFP video input. Paired with the RD60 Integrated Receiver/Decoder, this video encoder can deliver HD-SDI with end-to-end delays of only 3 frames and with no dedicated fiber link needed like Motion JPEG. Both the EN-91P and RD60 are fully interoperable with leading third-party receivers and encoders.
Adtec has long been very focused on its partner’s requirements. “We listen to, and learn from, our market and partners. The quality and quantity of visitors to our NAB booth reaffirmed our commitment to providing them the best product, best customer service, and our time to listen and learn their needs and expectations,” added Ancelin.
