SVG College Sports Summit Preview: The Making of a Network College Sports Broadcast

How do the top producers ensure the fans get as close to the action as possible? The bigger the stage, the higher the expectations. A panel of college sports broadcasters from the Big Ten Network, CBS, ESPN, Fox, and Turner will explain the philosophies behind their college game productions during an opening-day panel at the SVG College Sports Summit in Atlanta on May 29, entitled “GameDay: The Making of a Network College Sports Broadcast”.

From high-profile events like March Madness and the Bowl Championship Series to regular season football, basketball, and Olympic sports, these networks are tasked with telling the best stories possible as the action plays out on the field. Big Ten Network VP of Production Mark Hulsey, Turner Sports VP of Operations and Technology Tom Sahara, ESPN Coordinating Producer Dave Miller, Fox Sports VP of Production and Coordinating Produer Roy Hamilton, and CBS Sports Network Coordinating Producer Chris Fitzpatrick will provide a behind-the-scenes look at how they create some of the best college sports telecasts today.

The “GameDay: The Making of a Network College Sports Broadcast” panel will take place at 2:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 29, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta, GA.
