Media Links Transmits Sports Content to Venues, Trucks, and Beyond
The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Media Links as a corporate sponsor. The mission for the developer and manufacturer of video-content and broadcast-network infrastructure solutions is to offer broadcasters and network providers throughout the world leading-edge technology, enabling them to economically convert and move video, audio, and data onto their multiservice networks.
“The Sports Video Group provides us with the ideal platform to work closer with the entire sports industry,” says David Herfert, director of sales for the Americas. “It’s a way for us all to share information, work on best practices, and build on standards that will best suit the industry currently and moving forward.
“We provide a comprehensive suite of solutions that are being used in a number of global high-profile sporting events,” he continues, “that enable content and network providers to transmit sports content between venues, to broadcasters, mobile OB vans, as well as to the edge.”
The Media Links solutions are particularly suited to the sports industry, empowering network and service providers to distribute and transmit all types of content between venues, to central content hubs, and more. Regardless of the type of content — whether video, audio, or data — Media Links solutions support a wide variety of core network infrastructures. They are also highly scalable and modular, matching the demands of individual applications.
