NewTek Celebrates IAWTV Web TV Award Winners

NewTek saluted three award-winning customer programs recognized at the 2014 International Academy of Web Television Awards (IAWTV) held during New Media Expo in Las Vegas. The IAWTV Awards honors excellence in digital online programming in 35 categories. The winners in three live broadcasting categories using TriCaster multi-camera video production systems include: AMC Movie Talk for “Best News Program,” MyDamnChannelLive for “Best Hosted Series (Live),” and Comedy Gives Back 2013 for “Best Live Event.”

“The emergence of TriCaster as the behind-the-scenes live production system for so many winners at the IAWTV Awards is no surprise,” says J. Sibley Law, chairman of IAWTV. “Its functionality rivals traditional production gear while bringing the flexibility of independent production sensibilities.”

“We salute the creators of AMC Movie Talk, MyDamnChannelLive, and Comedy Gives Back 2013 who continue to raise the bar on live web broadcasting,” says Philip Nelson, chief relationship officer at NewTek. “They can only succeed by delivering compelling content with high production values that rival traditional network and cable TV broadcasts but at a fraction of the cost. TriCaster systems are designed to put the power of a traditional television studio into the hands of any creative mind on a limited budget who has a story to tell and the passion to tell it.”

TriCaster multi-camera production systems offer the power of a live network studio. When paired with live streaming over the Web, anyone can create and share a professional TV show. Students, premiere broadcast networks, major league sports networks and teams, along with some of the world’s biggest corporations—all use TriCaster to produce and stream live events, and expand their audiences. The NewTek family of TriCaster products integrates everything into a single, elegant, cost-effective and easy-to-use system, eliminating the need to buy and install separate components.
