Allied Broadcast Group Highlights Sports Lenses

With football season fast approaching, Allied Broadcast Group has announced special pricing on its cameras, tripods, and lenses for the month of August. Lenses, says ABG President Mark Chapman, are particularly in high demand — and not just HD ones.

“We see a lot of the standard def lenses going on HD cameras quite often as a cost-savings matter, [and] they do work well,” explains Chapman. “We found that quite often the standard def box lens will be sufficient in an HD camera because the quality of glass is still very good.”

ABG carries new and used Fuji lenses in all models and sizes, Canon SD and HD box lenses, and more. The company also sells a custom-made mounting sled/support, which allows virtually any box lens to be mounted to an ENG camera.

“We offer solutions for all budgets and all needs,” says Chapman.
