CBS Sports Digital Acquires 247Sports
CBS Sports Digital has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 247Sports, a network of college and pro team affinity sites, as well as a deep bench of national experts and reporters focused on recruiting. 247Sports’ network of sites and mobile apps, and its leading subscription recruiting information services, will become part of CBS Sports Digital’s multi-platform offerings, which include CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices, CBS Sports fantasy games, SportsLine, and MaxPreps.
In 2013, CBS Sports Digital and 247Sports began a partnership to integrate 247Sports’ premium football and basketball recruiting content into CBS Sports coverage across digital platforms. CBS Sports Digital also became the exclusive advertising sales partner for 247Sports.

247Sports was founded in 2010 to deliver premium content to the most dedicated and engaged fans of major college and pro teams, initially through a subscription access model. 247Sports has grown rapidly in the recent years and expanded this business to a much broader audience using its deep roster of national and regional experts and innovative mobile and social distribution. 247Sports now delivers its content for more than 75 teams across the U.S. in college and pro football and basketball.
