Cat Entertainment Services Rocks the Rolling Stones

Cat Entertainment Services (CES) recently provided the temporary power and temperature control for last stop on The Rolling Stones’ América Latina Olé stadium tour, which kicked off in Santiago, Chile on Feb. 3 and wrapped up with a concert in Havana, Cuba on March 25.

CAT_ET_ServicesThe final performance of the Olé tour marked an historic occasion,
especially for Cubans born around the start of the 1959 Communist
revolution, when former Cuban leader Fidel Castro banned all rock music.

For decades since then, the only way fans of the genre could keep up with the Rolling Stones and other rock and roll groups of the day was covertly listening to smuggled records or picking up rogue radio signals.
A few hundred thousand fans turned out for the free concert in Ciudad
Deportiva, the capital city’s sports complex. To keep the crowd and the
band energized, Cat Entertainment Services supplied 2.5 megawatts of Cat prime power, along with container loads of distribution equipment, HVAC, and site construction products used by the roadies and stagehands to build the entire concert venue.

Behind the scenes, CES technicians installed the power and HVAC equipment and remained on-site to operate it until well after the last note was played.
