Daktronics Expands DakStats Software to Include Lacrosse

Daktronics has expanded its DakStats software to include lacrosse as the popularity of the sport continues to grow. The expansion is available to high school and college levels of play, triggered by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) adding lacrosse as an officially sanctioned sport.

“With the addition of men’s and women’s lacrosse to the DakStats software family, the NAIA is now able to provide a digital solution to capturing lacrosse statistics for all NAIA members,” says Chad Waller, Director of Athletic Communications and Media. “This is a wonderful membership service that allows NAIA institutions to showcase their lacrosse student-athletes and programs and promote the sport on a national level. We are grateful to the Daktronics team in the creation of this software.”

“Our team has been hard at work learning the details and intricacies of lacrosse, from the rules to the field to the nuances between the men’s and women’s game, in an effort to bring this new DakStats offering to our customers,” says Sam Martens, Daktronics software designer. “The updated software adds another sport to our robust DakStats package that is essential for recording and sharing statistics and data for sports teams everywhere.”

The software update allows the entire men’s and women’s lacrosse user base to record statistics and report them back to the national NAIA office. Daktronics also created an interface for DakStats lacrosse allowing real-time stats to be shown on video displays and message centers during events.

The software offers an intuitive user experience and can be configured for seasons, teams and rosters to track live player stats during sporting events.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
