IBC 2017: Net Insight Drops Buyer Fee for Connector Marketplace
Net Insight will eliminate buyers’ fees for its’ Connector Marketplace, a source for easy scheduling and provisioning of external resources and services. Born out of the Connector Community launched in 2016, Connector Marketplace is a self-service shop for booking all types of media services with full budgeting, billing and financial visibility. With the drop of buyer fees, broadcasters, content production companies and content providers are set to benefit.
“Connector Marketplace is all about creating and delivering high-quality content at the right price point,” says Martin Karlsson, CTO and vice president product portfolio of Net Insight. “By removing some of the entrance barriers, we make it as easy as possible for our customers to find the production resources they need.”
The benefits are also significant. Connector Marketplace empowers subscribers with elastically-scalable and easy pay-per-use access to external resources, such as satellite and terrestrial connectivity and cloud-based services. It offers instantaneous responses on service provider availability, ad-hoc service and resource bookings across an event season, as well as accurate invoicing.
Connector Marketplace is ideal for customers looking to book and deploy services in seconds, and is especially valuable during peak times. With built-in billing and cost control features, it also provides immediate individual and overall project budget figures for management analysis, approval and reporting.
For service providers, selling on the Connector Marketplace offers a targeted customer exposure to high-profile customers across the industry and access to a platform to promote available services and resources.
The platform grew by 700 percent during 2016 and is available to more than 600 professional media installations across the globe, including large broadcasters.
