Veritone Supports AI Asset-Management Needs of Sports Industry

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Veritone as a corporate sponsor. Veritone is an AI asset-management and -monetization platform for the media and entertainment industry.

The company provides cable and satellite networks, production companies, sports federations, broadcasters, and agencies with complete control over their assets and end-to-end value-creation tools — from cognitive processing powering smarter asset management to advertising-intelligence products and all the way through to automated clipping, varied distribution, and continuous monetization.

“We have long-standing relationships with many sports properties and continue to develop those relationships and gain new ones,” says Mike Arthur, SVP, sports and licensing. “Being in the business of helping rightsholders preserve, enrich, and manage their content as well as licensing their content, we have a natural place in the sports ecosystem and feel honored to have a seat at the table.”

Earlier this year, Veritone expanded integration of its aiWARE operating system for AI with asset-management solutions from Wazee Digital, a leader in cloud-native video-management and -licensing services and now a Veritone company. Veritone leveraged its recent acquisition of Wazee Digital to create an end-to-end, AI-driven digital-asset–management and –monetization solution in a secure cloud environment for live and archived broadcasts.

aiWARE works in combination with Wazee Digital Core, an enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) digital-asset–management system, and Digital Media Hub, a SaaS solution that allows video content to be captured in a central location and made immediately available for global access. aiWARE automatically generates relevant intelligent metadata within Core and Digital Media Hub that will enhance advanced searches of vast archives, improving operational efficiency and improving the discoverability and usability of valuable media content.
