ESPN Digital Snatches Second Straight Month as U.S. Sports Category Leader With 86.8 Million Unique Visitors in July
ESPN Digital reached 86.8 million unique visitors (up +25% YOY) in July for its largest U.S. sports category lead ever at +63% over No. 2 for the second consecutive month (previous high in June at +56%). It was also ESPN’s eighth straight record-setting monthly reach.
- ESPN Digital ranked as the No. 1 U.S. digital sports property in July across every key metric, as well as all key demographics, fueled by audience expansion among younger and female fans. This includes persons 13-24 (+63% YOY), all females (+22%), and men 13-24 (+48%).
- The ESPN app was once again ranked as the No. 1 sports app in the U.S., attracting 19.0 million unique visitors – double that of the next closest competitor – and 1.5 billion minutes, up +26% and +44%, respectively YOY.
- ESPN Digital was No. 1 in total minutes with 4.2 billion, which was 1.5 billion more than No. 2 Yahoo! NBC Sports (2.7 billion).
