IBM Aspera Intros New Enterprise 1.0, Endpoint 1.0 to Create More Flexibility for Users

IBM Aspera now offers more license flexibility with the introduction of IBM Aspera Enterprise 1.0 and IBM Aspera Endpoint 1.0. IBM Aspera Enterprise 1.0 and IBM Aspera Endpoint 1.0 deliver more flexibility, offering powerful combination of high-speed, high-capacity streaming capabilities for single and multiple users.

The evolution from Aspera Enterprise Server to Aspera High-Speed Transfer Server to a new, consolidated Aspera Enterprise brings Aspera back to its roots in Media and Entertainment but also brings all the capabilities of data streaming, video streaming, unlimited Aspera sync, unlimited clients, Faspex, Orchestrator, and the rest of Aspera into a single, easy-to-use Aspera offering.

Aspera Enterprise 1.0 is a single offering that provides the full benefits of Aspera technology and features IBM Aspera’s patented Fast Adaptive and Secure Protocol (FASP) for transferring large amounts of data, files, and streams across wide areas, congested networks, or the public internet. Aspera Enterprise includes a full transfer server with unlimited transfer users, Aspera FASPStream capabilities for delivering large streams of data and high bitrate video streams, and Aspera sync capabilities.

Aspera Enterprise also features: Unlimited installations of Aspera web applications, including IBM Aspera Faspex and IBM Aspera Orchestrator; Unlimited number of users for Aspera’s client software, including IBM Aspera Connect, IBM Aspera Drive, and the Microsoft Outlook Plug-In; and IBM Aspera Proxy and IBM Aspera HTTP Gateway to protect and proxy FASP connections.

Aspera Endpoint 1.0 provides powerful streaming capabilities for transferring information to Aspera Enterprise, but in a minimized installation that is suited for one user. Aspera Endpoint provides a single user with Aspera FASPStream capabilities for delivering large streams of data, high bitrate video streams, and Aspera sync capabilities.

Aspera fasp.io 1.1.1 is now available as a stand-alone offering to embed Aspera’s patented FASP technology into existing applications as an enhanced transport mechanism.
