NBCUniversal’s Peacock Works With Rory McIlroy to Launch GolfPass Channel

Peacock and golf superstar Rory McIlroy has announced a new GolfPass channel will launch February 8th on the streaming service, featuring premier instruction and entertainment content from the digital golf membership program, as well as timely news each day from GOLF Channel.

The new GolfPass channel will provide fans the opportunity to sample the variety of programming offered through a GolfPass membership, including game-improvement videos with the game’s best coaches, entertainment from favorite GOLF Channel series like Feherty and Big Break, as well as GolfPass originals like The Conor Moore Show and My Daily Routine, and more. A paid GolfPass membership also provides access to thousands of hours of content archived in the GOLF Channel video vault. Developed in partnership between McIlroy and NBC Sports Group, GolfPass is a first-of-its-kind, direct-to-consumer subscription program, which offers opportunities to play more golf, comprehensive tools to improve any golfer’s game and high-quality video content.

The GolfPass channel on Peacock aims to complement the traditional golf programming offered by NBC, NBCSN and GOLF Channel and will continue to evolve and expand throughout the year. The channel will be programmed for 24 hours a day, so viewers can tune in much in the same way they watch GOLF Channel. For more information click here.

“Coming together with Rory McIlroy and GolfPass is a partnership we could not be more excited about. GolfPass channel will be an engaging and entertaining addition to our robust lineup of channels on Peacock,” said Rick Cordella, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer, Peacock. “Highlighting the amazing content GolfPass has created, and continues to create, is something we are looking forward to bringing to golf fans all over the U.S.”

“Being able to share all the great things about the game I love with as many people as possible has been a passion project of mine through GolfPass,” McIlroy said. “After finishing a record-breaking year, I can’t think of a better next step for GolfPass than being part of the amazing momentum surrounding Peacock.”

In recognition of the launch, McIlroy will sport the Peacock logo on his golf bag during competition, beginning at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, airing on GOLF Channel and NBC, Feb. 4-7. The Peacock logo, which will replace GolfPass, will remain on McIlroy’s bag for the balance of 2021. The channel also will feature original programming produced with McIlroy, including the popular Ask Rory instructional series.
