EVS Appoints Trevor Spielmann to VP of Sales Media Infrastructure, Matt Salvidge to Solutions Manager of Media Infrastructure

EVS has appointed Trevor Spielmann to VP of Sales Media Infrastructure, and Matt Salvidge as Solutions Manager of Media Infrastructure.

Spielmann has over 20 years of experience in the media and broadcast industry, during which he has worked in a variety of Business Development and Sales roles focusing on complex software solutions, professional audio/video solutions, video servers and postproduction equipment. Prior to EVS, he was Director of Business Development for newsroom solutions at CGI, an IT and business consulting services company (formerly known as Annova Systems and SCISYS).

Spielmann’s significant experience leading high-performing sales teams and his strong background in broadcast and media will be instrumental in helping EVS drive its Media Infrastructure business forward on an international level.

Salvidge has served in various engineering and project management roles throughout his career for key players in the media and broadcast industry. Before joining EVS, he worked at Grass Valley, where he was actively involved in producing solutions and Proof of Concept systems related to the distribution of video and audio for live production over uncompressed IP networks. He also worked at Telenor Satellite Broadcasting and ITV Meridian where he first developed his expertise in TV transmission, live broadcast and studio productions.

As Solutions Manager, Salvidge will be responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle, with specific focus on defining, scoping, pricing and marketing of EVS’ Control, Monitoring and Orchestration solutions. He will liaise with other solution managers on defining valuable solutions that are designed to modernize customers’ workflows in an industry that is increasingly relying on IP broadcast networks.

These appointments set a clear statement that EVS is committed to further growing its Media Infrastructure expertise to help its customers face all their control, monitoring, and routing challenges in any production environment. The extensive offering allows broadcasters to easily deploy reusable software to control and monitor their resources in a more efficient way.

“We are excited to reinforce our already strong Media Infrastructure team with highly skilled and talented individuals,” says Peter Schut, SVP Media infrastructure at EVS. “We are confident their additions will help create valuable business outcomes for our customers who are looking to master and optimize their most critical broadcast operations within production infrastructures that are becoming more and more complex.”
