SVG On Demand: SVG Australia Summit Panel Asks “Which Flavor of IP is Right For Your Organization?”

Telstra's Michael Day, Fastly's Mandy Scott, NEP's Marc Segar, Gravity Media's Ian Stokes, and Optus' Jeremy Brown juggle IP's current state

For the first time since prior to the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020, Sports Video Group returned to Sydney for the SVG Australia Summit. Hosted at the Telstra Customer Insight Centre in Sydney on June 1, the event was an opportunity for the Australian sports production community to come together for an afternoon of networking and information exchange around the topic of the future of the sports TV production and distribution.

Increasingly, all sports productions are embracing IP-based signal transport in the interest of flexibility, reliability, and quality. SMPTE continues to develop new standards and enhancements that can make a difference and NDI also is a key option. At the 2022 SVG Australia Summit, tech leaders talked about how to figure out which option is best for you and why going to IP matters.
