FIFA World Cup 2022: Fox Sports Unveils Plans for State-of-the-Art Waterfront Set in Doha

FOX Sports will broadcast its FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 TV and digital studio shows from a brand new, state-of-the-art set located along the Corniche waterfront promenade in Doha. The space spans 148-foot x 33-foot within two stories and features four unique stages.

The renderings showcase FOX Sports’ unilateral outdoor set that will serve as the epicenter for the network’s presentation of the tournament. Featuring four unique stages, downtown Doha’s West Bay skyline and its skyscrapers serve as one of the primary backdrops, while another stage backdrop looks out to the bay where traditional dhow boats float just off the shoreline.

The studio sports more than 20 LED screens for production purposes, including an all-LED field, as well as messaging to fans who gather to watch and revel in the atmosphere along the Corniche.

The new studio builds on FOX Sports efforts at World Cups over the years, including a set at Red Square in Moscow during the 2018 FIFA World Cup and another with the Eiffel Tower in the background at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 airs live on FOX and FS1 this holiday season with all 64 matches taking place from Sunday, Nov. 20 – Sunday, Dec. 18.
