Hofstra and MSG Networks Announce Multi-Year, Multi-Sport Broadcast Partnership

The Hofstra University Department of Athletics and MSG Networks announce they have entered into a new, multi-year partnership that will bring Pride athletics events to sports fans across the New York Tri-state area.

As part of the agreement, MSG Networks will televise a wide range of Hofstra sports, starting with the home finale weekends for the Pride men’s and women’s basketball teams. The network will then feature other sports and Pride teams throughout upcoming fall, winter, and spring athletic seasons.

The coverage gets underway on Friday, Feb. 24 when the women’s basketball team hosts Drexel at 7 p.m. The first televised men’s basketball game will air at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 against Northeastern. Sunday’s women’s basketball game against Monmouth is at 2 p.m. All three games will air on MSG.

“What an incredible day and announcement for the Hofstra community and our athletic programs,” says Rick Cole Jr., Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics. “This partnership with MSG Networks is a game changer for our teams and I know our fan base is excited about this new opportunity to follow and watch our incredible student-athletes, coaches, and teams. I am so thankful to our friends at MSG Networks and those within our athletic department and at the University that worked so hard to make this come to fruition.”

“We are excited to welcome Hofstra University to the MSG Networks family and for the opportunity to showcase Pride athletics across our networks,” says Armando Polanco, Vice President of Content Distribution, MSG Networks. “We are looking forward to connecting with the passionate Hofstra community and tapping into the captive audience of college sports fans, while bolstering the network’s collegiate programming throughout the year.”

The games airing live on MSG Networks will also be available to watch on MSG GO, the network’s live streaming and video on demand platform.
