National Women’s Soccer League and Just Women’s Sports Announce Renewal of Media and Activation Partnership for 2023 Season
Story Highlights
The National Women’s Soccer League announces Just Women’s Sports (JWS) has secured the rights to continue distributing official NWSL game highlights and content for the upcoming season. This content and media partnership enables JWS to expand coverage around the league, driving fan interest and engagement week-to-week and opening revenue opportunities through content monetization.
Expanding upon their inaugural partnership in 2022, JWS will focus on elevating the profile of women’s soccer globally through various touch points across the year and further establish the NWSL as a leading sports league. JWS will also bring back its popular pre-game show “The Warm-Up” for the NWSL Championship and host the league’s officially sanctioned Championship party during the weekend leading up to the game, which has more than tripled its viewership since 2019.
Haley Rosen, Founder and CEO of JWS, shares her enthusiasm at the continuation of the partnership, saying, “Last year was a leap for Just Women’s Sports and the NWSL, and we saw exponential growth in our audiences, engagement, and interest. JWS is built to help increase and drive fandom, and we’re seeing that across the landscape by giving fans access to the league’s most important storylines and moments every day. We’re excited to deepen our relationship with the NWSL and continue to showcase and elevate the incredible athletes in the league.”
“We are proud of the work we did with Just Women’s Sports last year and it was an easy conversation to extend the partnership,” says NWSL Chief Marketing Officer Julie Haddon. “Their understanding of driving growth in the digital media space and dedication to the audience for women’s soccer has been invaluable to us. We’re looking forward to working together again to continue broadening our base and giving fans dynamic ways to engage with our league, players, rivalries, and exciting moments.”
Last year, Just Women’s Sports generated more than 46M social impressions, 5M video views across social platforms and over 2K organic posts from players and fans throughout NWSL Championship Weekend. In addition, Just Women’s Sports distributed over 1,000 content pieces and highlights throughout the 2022 NWSL season reaching more than 30M fans.
