Formula 1 Plans Return of “F1 Kids” Broadcast for Singapore Grand Prix

Formula 1 will produce a F1 Kids broadcast during this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix.
This marks the second time that Formula 1 will produce a kids-themed live broadcast of a race. A pilot was produced earlier in the season at the Hungarian Grand Prix in Mogyoró with Sky UK and Sky Deutschland.
This time, the show will be made available for more international rightsholders, with nine broadcast partners set to air the race in multiple territories across six continents. That lineup includes ESPN (here in the United States, where it will be available to stream on ESPN+, as well as in Latin America and the Caribbean), Bell (Canada), Supersport (Pan Africa), beIN Sports (Pan Asia), Fox Sports (Australia), SportTV (Portugal), Sky (UK and Republic of Ireland), and on Viaplay (Europe).
“It is fantastic to see F1 Kids return and the interest it has generated from our broadcast partners around the world,” Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation at Formula 1 said in an official release. “F1 Kids has shown that it is possible to present a sport as technical and intricate as F1 in a format easily digestible for new and younger audiences. By creating this new element of our broadcast, we are incredibly proud to provide our younger generation of fans with yet another avenue to embrace the world of F1.”
The broadcast will feature a world feed of the race itself while adding 3D augmented graphics, child-friendly team radio transmissions, technical explainers, and a bespoke package of colourful graphics and animations, including cartoon driver avatars.

Sky UK’s FYI presenters Braydon and Scarlett and young go-karter Zac will provide remote race commentary alongside F1 commentator Chris McCarthy from F1’s Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill in London.
