CBS Sports Says It Will Deliver Super Bowl LVIII in 4K HDR and 1080p HDR

Marks the first time that CBS Sports will offer the big game in UHD

CBS Sports officially announced on Tuesday that it will deliver Super Bowl LVIII in 1080p High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 4K HDR. This marks the first time that CBS Sports will carry the “Big Game” in 4K.

According to the announcement, CBS Sports will make the 1080p HDR feed available across most platforms and will supply the 4K HDR feed to various MVPDs and vMVPDs.

Including the game, more than ten hours of CBS Sports coverage on Super Bowl Sunday – including pregame, halftime and postgame coverage – will be delivered in 1080p HDR and 4K HDR.

Previously, FOX Sports has broadcast/streamed two Super Bowls (LVII in 2023 and LIV in 2020) in 4K. Both of those were upconverted deliveries.
