Playfly Sports announces it is entering into an enterprise relationship with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. In this broad, 15-year relationship, Playfly will be responsible for driving commercial growth for Penn State Athletics through an expansive variety of channels, including fan engagement, content creation, premium game day programming, and the development of new partnerships, events and experiences, and fan data activations.

“Penn State Athletics is synonymous with excellence and boasts one of the most fervent fan bases in the country,” says Christy Hedgpeth, President of Playfly Sports Properties. “Pat Kraft has an innovative, ambitious vision for the future of Penn State Athletics and its value to the University. By leveraging our diverse range of services and fan-focused mindset, we will help Penn State deepen fan relationships and cultivate new revenue streams.”

Encompassing a dynamic strategy to further cultivate and capture fan engagement throughout the country, Penn State’s partnership with Playfly Sports Properties will combine the company’s multimedia rights acumen with its line-up of media, technology, and marketing solutions to focus on commercial growth. The company will unlock new revenue streams and fan enthusiasm by introducing a host of new media and technology offerings, including creating a podcast network, establishing membership-based services for fans, and activating around Penn State Athletics’ highly sought-after game day experience.

In addition to selecting and onboarding a staff dedicated to fostering and developing strategic partnerships for the athletic department, Playfly will tap into one of Penn State’s most valuable assets – its 750,000 living alumni nationwide. Largely focusing their efforts in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York, Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Playfly will target a corporate and fan base through dedicated sales channels in these cities. Playfly Sports’ industry-leading fan data and insights solutions will be on display to drive new engagement and support across all geographies.
