Women’s basketball is booming across the board — especially at ESPN, where, in 2023, both the NCAA Women’s Final Four and the WNBA Finals saw massive increases in ratings.

Recently promoted to ESPN VP, Production, Sara Gaiero is now overseeing all women’s hoops at the broadcaster, and her team is finding new and innovative ways to elevate the coverage expected from those games.

At the SVG Summit, we caught up with Gaiero to reflect on an exciting WNBA Finals, to discuss her new responsibilities, and to see what she’s looking forward to in 2024.
