Max Upgrades to Dolby Vision for Live Sports

The move comes just in time for TNT Sports' coverage of NBA All-Star Weekend

Dolby Vision is coming to Max.

On Tuesday, TNT Sports shared plans for its coverage of NBA All-Star Weekend, and included in the announcement was that live sports will be available to stream in Dolby Vision for all subscribers of the streaming service Max (with supported devices via the B/R Sports Add-On). This makes Max the first streamer to offer live sports in Dolby Vision.

Dolby Vision is an HDR imaging technology that emphasizes vivid color, contrast, and brightness to the screen. When paired with the immersive audio technology, Dolby Vision, the duo creates a unique live sports viewing experience. Max already supports Dolby Atmos.

Live sports expected to be available in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on Max include NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, and US Soccer games. Pre and postgame coverage of all live events are also included.
